London is hands down my favorite city in the world. The atmosphere, the culture, the weather... well, maybe not the weather. As if the city it's self wasn't enough, the variety of vegan food the city totes is unbelievable. I really feel that London has been a jumping off point for the rest of Europe to embrace the vegan lifestyle and food. Like Portland, OR, there is too much to try on one trip, so I'm looking forward to expanding this list with every amazing trip to London.

Set in the heart of Camden, just around the corner from the famous Camden market, sits inSpiral. InSpiral is a vegetarian cafe, with plenty of vegan options, so ask about them when you order at the counter. The cafe/shop is large space with an all glass back wall looking onto the Regent's Canal. This backdrop makes for a beautiful setting, no matter what meal you're coming in for.

I love Camden and I love vegan breakfast, so it makes sense that I would love the full vegan bake-up at inSpiral. I mean look at it! It's an traditional English cooked breakfast vegan style and it was amazing. So get there quick and check it out for yourself.

London does great Indian food. It seems to be everywhere so we wanted to find a good Indian restaurant with a large vegan menu. We didn't have to look far before we found Sagar. I love when non-vegan restaurants have a separate vegan menu and Sagar has just that. I can order anything I want! The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant and cozy, while the warm, filling food was just what we needed after a day of sight seeing in the English rain.

Afternoon tea at The Savoy was an experience. This was a special treat for my 28th birthday. That being said, afternoon tea here is not cheap. I don't think I would go back due to the cost but as a one time experience, it was worth the money in my mind.

As you may have guessed, The Savoy offers a vegan afternoon tea and it's a very good one. We didn't feel like corners were cut and felt that we had the same afternoon tea experience the other diners were having. It is a beautiful hotel and we were provided a traditional display of tea sandwiches, scones, and dessert plate. If you are looking for a place to spend a special occasion while in London and have been dying to try a traditional English afternoon tea, I would suggest checking out afternoon tea at The Savoy.
